Moving on to bigger things.

This is an update on Proverbs 31:13
The background is taking a while but not everything is a race. I am still enjoying every minute of it.

Oh...... I love this one. Yes I know it is a preprinted pattern but I really wanted to do this one. It is called Proverbs 31:13
I am using my new frame with the rotating head . I do like it especially for the larger projects. It let my hands be free of holding the frame. It will take a little getting use to but I think I am going to like this frame too.
I am currently awaiting an order from Valdani Threads http://www.valdani.com/home in Canada along with a smaller order here from Country Stitche shttp://www.countrystitchesonline.com/ This is where I have purchased a large amount of my patterns too.
This Punch project should keep me busy for
 awhile. It is 6 1/2 x 11" .I will give you periodic
 updates on this current project.

UPDATE on Proverbs

As you can see, I have gone as far as I can go until I get my background thread. Everything else is done.

My newest frame

I just received my new frame from Pioneer Primitives. It is an awesome frame that rotates on a wooden ball joint in all directions. I can't wait to get my new fabric so that I can start my new pillow project. The inside dimensions of this frame are 12" X 14". Just the right size for those larger projects.
It is custom made so takes a little longer then ones that may be mass produced but all the details are perfect. Even the area where the wooden ball rotates has been hand sanded so that it rotates on a smooth recessed area.
For any further information on this frame you can contact Angela Anderson at  www.pioneerprimitives.com    or   angelacho@yahoo.com She also has a blog on http://www.etsy.com/shop/pioneerprimitives

Thank you so much for the great frame and thank you to Angela's husband Todd, who is the creator of these wonderful frames. You guys Rock!

Counting sheep in my sleep

Yes, I have sheep on the brain. I just keep finding these awesome pictures that I want to transfer on to cloth to reproduce into punch needle. This is my current one. there is quite a lot of detail with different color mixtures and I am having fun mixing some of my flosses since I don't have enough Valdani threads yet. Still in the process of building up my supplies. I guess that the manufacture is totally out of the black nut too. So on with the black combos of floss. The only pain is the separating. Not that big of deal but still it is so much easier when it is all done for you. Okay so this is what I am working on now. It is another painting by Becky Miller of Toledo, Oregon. She is just such an incredible artist and I find putting her painting to cloth and fiber is so much fun. This one is called."Freckles" it is an oil on canvas but I buy her cards so that I will be able to transfer the design.
Here is an update on where I am today. Moving right along. I should be finished in a couple of days.
I find that even with the use of my magnifying lamp my eyes get tired very quickly and I actually can close my eyes and fall asleep in minutes. I'm not sure if its because of the light shining back in my eyes or just the strain of looking at my work though the magnifying glass.
Do any of you have that same problem. Maybe I just need to get my eyes rechecked. Its been a long time.
heheh
I am still waiting for my larger frame. It has a working surface of about 9" x 11" I think that is what the measurements are. It could be 8.5 vs 9 but I don't remember just at the moment. When I get that I am going to start doing some pillow size projects. Look out then. I will have a whole flock of sheep. heheh

Frames by Allen Metzger

Allen Metzger makes these Awesome frames
I make the covers out of fleece to fit each frame size. The fleece is nice and soft and makes handling much nicer when you are holding on to the sharp gripper strips.
