Ah oh, I Just Discovered a New Needle Craft. Swedish Weaving.

Oh My Gosh, I am so excited as I just discovered a new needle art form called Swedish Weaving. There are many of you out there saying, you silly girl, thats been around for ages. Well, I just saw it on a tutorial for the first time and can't wait to try it. I am currently working on a Punch Needle project but I am going to try this new needle craft as soon as I get finish with my current project.
Here is an awesome blog site where I discovered the artist and watched some of her tutorials. Great instruction.

This is some of her beautiful work. Her name is Alyssa and is a great instructor and her videos are so clear and precise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkxN1JGCuN4
Watch this video and you will be jumping up and down too. Well, maybe not but I am and I can't wait to try it.
I have a feeling that I am going to be doing a lot of this type of stitching for a while. Heheh, I am so easily influenced by beautiful stitching.

New work in progress

This is my latest piece that I am working on. The photo for this came from Prairie Flower Farm by Linda. She so graciously allowed me to use the photo so I am making her a small punch needle of the photo.

I think its coming along pretty nicely. I am looking forward to doing a large rendition of this photo. Don't you just love the simplicity of the Amish people. I wish I could do that but I am so used to my TV and computer and all the things that the Amish can do with out. I suppose I could do that but it would be difficult.
Any how, back to the piece. I think on the larger one I am going to add a pond and possibly a sheep or two. You know me and my sheep. Heheh

I would like to add one of these Wensleydale sheep.Aren't they just so incredibly awesome looking. Not sure how I would do it but I was thinking along the line of using a long stitch and then cutting it or using some wavy yarn for the coats.
