Update on my current WIP

Okay, I just thought I best show you that I haven't been slacking and that I am busily working on two projects. My punch needle and my Swedish Weaving Afghan.

So see, I have been busy . I am still trying to finish my rug hooked scarecrow but I am waiting for some sky blue wool. I tried a darker blue but it wasn't right and I pulled it all out. Don't you agree that the dark blue isn't the right back ground for the balance of the rug?

I also shorten the beak of the crow. It was a bit too long. Yes, I am my own worst critic.

So I best get busy as, in the words of John Wayne,
"I'm am burning daylight" heheheh

My current WIP

Well, I just couldn't stand to be away from my punch needle work for too long so I started another one today. My friend is building me the actual gate for watching their 5 cats, yes I said 5 and I don't even like cats very much. Well, I am a dog person but I love all animals and their 2 indoor cats are very sweet but I just don't trust them. I am petting them one minute and then they turn around  and bite me. Geez, whats up with that? Any way, this is the gate that he is building me and then a pic of the punch needle.

This is the crow that I just finished today

It looks blue in the photo but its actually black and his friend Freddy the Free loader is sitting beside him on a separate  Conk. That's the fungus that grows on decaying old growth trees. They make awesome bases for my creations.

it is nearly done. I just have the cross hatches to do up the blanket

I love this gate and I am hoping to find someone to make it for me as a true gate into my garden or up to my house.
